Question: Why the lowest price?
Answer:
PC Repair Service is a small company. We operate from our home, hence we do not have many overheads. By keeping lesser expenses we ensure that our customers get high quality service at the lowest price.
Question: Do you offer onsite/ home service?
Answer:
Our services are mainly onsite. Most upgrades, repairs, maintenance, and some troubleshooting can be performed on-site. In some cases (few hardware issues), we have to take system to our home based lab. Our prices include these services free of charge.

Yes – We beat any quote by 5%.

Answer:
Yes. We will evaluate your requirements and give you a competitive quote as soon as possible.
Question: What areas do you provide services to?
Answer:
For home clients we provide services in Eastern Suburbs only. For business clients we offer services in all areas of Sydney.
Question: Is it cheaper to repair my computer or buy a new computer?
Answer:
This really depends on how old your computer is and also what is wrong with your computer. Sometimes it isn’t worth spending the money to fix your old computer or is actually cheaper to purchase a new one.
Question: What will maintenance do for my computer?
Answer:
Maintenance will speed up booting and loading times, increase the reliability of the computer, and protect it from harmful static build up that is caused by dust.
Question: What is your warranty policy on your repairs?
Answer:
We have a 15 day hardware warranty policy on all repairs. We will cover labor and previously replaced parts but not any additional parts that may be necessary to complete the job.

Question: Will I be able to transfer files from one computer to another in my network?
Answer:
Yes. By using the built-in functions of Windows or Mac OS, you will be able to share files between computers connected to your network.
Question: Can I share my incoming internet connection with other computers on my network?
Answer:
Yes. Connecting your incoming internet connection up to a home router, you will be able to access the internet from any computer that is on the network.
Question: Can I share my printer with more than one computer?
Answer:
Yes. This can be accomplished many different ways. You can share the printer from within windows, purchase a network compatible printer, or purchase a router with a print server.
Question: Is a wireless network safe?
Answer:
Yes, but the network and the computers that are on the network have to be configured correctly for it to be safe. On the wireless station, WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) can be used to encrypt the signal that is being sent and received. On the network computers, passwords and permissions should be setup.
Question: Can you troubleshoot an existing small network?
Answer:
Yes. We can troubleshoot most home and small business networks even if we did not originally install it.
Question: What equipment do I need?
Answer:
To answer this questions correctly, we first would need to know what you would like to do on your network. After that, we can put together a list of equipment you will need. Most small networks will just need some sort of a switch or a router, some network cable, and a couple of network cards.

If we cannot recover your data there is no charge to you.

Depending on the severity of the problem, chances of recovering the data vary.
Question: What types of media can you recover data from?
Answer:
We can recover data from IDE, EIDE and SCSI hard drive assemblies.

We offer all Windows and Mac OS based Operating Systems covering basic functions and useful tips and tricks.
Question: Where will the training session be held?
Answer:
Training will be held at your convenience and in a location of your choice. We prefer to train you on your own computer rather than our because this is the computer that you will be doing your work on. Since you are already familiar with your computer, you will waist less time trying to figure it out and more time learning.

Yes. We can teach you how to build your own computer, step-by-step, at your house or business.

Answer:
